Soul Reapers Haunted House 2018

Located at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds in Wilmot, Wisconsin, is Soul Reapers Haunted House. Providing two attractions, the team at Soul Reapers worked hard in a short amount of time to ensure Kenosha County is ringing with the echoes of screams!
Once again, I want any of our Chicago-based folks to know this is just over the border into Wisconsin and worth the trip for the whole family. While Soul Reapers is still within 100-miles from Chicago proper, they bring an entirely different experience than many of the attractions south of them.
Our journey began in the first attraction, based off of a mansion that has been possessed by demons and witches. The actors are certainly the main focus here, and leave you clinging to your loved ones as you search for a way out of the madness. One of our favorites included the doll room and our interaction with “Mona.”
Just as we thought our feet were out of the frying pan, we were forced into the depths below to visit all the souls that were lost. In their second attraction, we were given a short introduction from the devil himself that there would be no escape. Actors were also relentless and ensured we knew that we were certainly trapped forever!
But, what might possibly be our most memorable moment of the season came from an interaction our reviewer had with one of the actresses who asked us to stay behind. As we always test the level of adlibbing and banter actors/actresses are willing to do, our team member obliged. She asked how he would get back home and he responded that he would “take an Uber.” She promptly responded in a loud and booming voice, “THERE ARE NO UBERS IN HELL!” After a round of laughing and applause, we finally had to move on through the rest of the tour and try to attempt an escape.
Monsters of Note: Dougie the unicorn
The Bottom Line: Overall, this is a great one-two combination and perfect for the whole family. The crew here is playful and willing to improvise to enhance your holiday experience. We found ourselves constantly smiling and surrounded by happy people. This was a great visit, and we highly recommend it! AND we certainly can’t wait to see what they dream-up for 2019!
