This year, taking up residence at Fun Times Square in Alsip, Illinois, is SCARE at the Park Haunted Attraction.  Bringing the nightmares to life, we were greeted by a young man in a strait jacket with his baby wandering around the grounds.  As we stood in line, we carefully watched him and without anyone around or knowing we were watching, he would just lie on the ground and play with his baby, and then slowly start convulsing.  We commend this actor on a job well done!

As we entered the attraction, we were informed of the rules of the house and what to expect as we made our way through.  As soon as we were done, we were set off on our adventure, hoping we would make it out alive.

Trekking our way through, we encountered numerous inhabitants of the house.  Weaving in and out, scene after scene, family members attacked from all angles hungry for fresh blood.  From the kitchen, to the dining room, the actors were spot on with their attacks and never backed down.

One of our favorite scenes is that of the elevator. Trust us when we say that this isn’t your normal elevator and you’ll definitely be in for a real treat once the doors close. Just remember that what goes up, must always come down again!

As we made our way out of the house, the scares weren’t over just yet!  Continuing through a few more scenes, the other patrons in our group were so scared they couldn’t even make it into the room before they were running out screaming!  In fact, as the attraction ended, those same participants took off running to their car…and never looked back!

The Bottom Line:  SCARE at the Park is a wonderful attraction for those that aren’t looking for in your face intensity.  The actors are patient and know exactly when to strike next.  Overall, this is a fun family attraction that you want to make sure you take a visit to!
