We are heartbroken to hear of the sudden passing of one of the best humans we have had the honor of meeting and calling a friend. Jason Ciszewski, co-operator of The Catacombs of St. Pascal's Church in Chicago, IL, was a true delight to all and easily brightened-up any room he entered, simply with his presence. Rising Haunted House in Crestwood, Illinois, John was a veteran haunter and legend of the Chicagoland haunted house community for over 30 years. John was truly an inspiration to all those with whom he shared his life. He was a deeply passionate friend, mentor, husband, father, grandfather, artist, filmmaker, makeup artist, and haunter. As we all know, these decisions have not easily been made. Please be aware: This weekend's special St. Patrick's Day Haunted Event at Basement of the Dead in Aurora, Illinois, has been cancelled/postponed. It was originally scheduled for March 13th and 14th.
