FEAR CITY HAUNTED HOUSE (BIG CITY ENTERTAINMENT, LLC) ANNOUNCES 2014 WORKSHOP AUDITIONS

FEAR CITY HAUNTED HOUSE is proud to announce their 2014 Open Auditions for this Halloween Season.  FEAR CITY is seeking Improv Actors, Dancers, Performance Artists & Haunters.  All performers must be 18 years old and over.

Availability for Acting & Safety Workshops/Performances is mandatory and plays a major factor in being hired.  Please bring your up-to-date availability from September 15th through November 1st.  A headshot & resume are not required, but are encouraged.  Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.

Audition Dates:

  •        Saturday, August 30th
  •        Sunday, August 31st
  •        Friday, September 5th
  •        Saturday, September 6th
  •        Friday, September 12th
  •        Friday, September 19th

(Fridays at 6pm, Sat/Sun at 1pm)

We will contact you to schedule your audition appointment!

Performance Dates:

  •        PREVIEW (September 26th) – CLOSING (November 1st)
  •        Mostly weekends until late October
  •        Actors call time is 6pm – 11pm on Weekdays, until Midnight on Weekends

FEAR CITY HAUNTED HOUSE (BIG CITY ENTERTAINMENT, LLC) ANNOUNCES 2014 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

FEAR CITY HAUNTED HOUSE is seeking 8-10 college students with technical and administrative interests to join the team for 2014.  During the course of this 7- week program (August 11th through September 29th) interns will learn from and work with industry professionals behind the scenes at FEAR CITY.  In addition, some staff positions may become available to fall interns in October for the Haunt Season beginning September 26, 2014 and running through November 1, 2014.

Production Intern areas of focus include:

  •        Stage Carpentry
  •        Electronics
  •        Sound
  •        Costume
  •        Properties
  •        Special Effects
  •        Scenic Painting

Administrative Intern areas of focus include:

  •        Public Relations & Marketing
  •        House & Box Office Management
  •        Assisting the Artistic Director & Business Manager
  •        Assisting the Production & Stage Manager
  •        General Production Administration from Pre-Season to Run

Interns will be compensated with 4 tickets to FEAR CITY HAUNTED HOUSE and a $250 stipend.  Interested Applicants should submit a resume and cover letter and send to fearcityjobs@gmail.com.  While all our positions have been filled for the 2014 Season, please feel free to submit your information should an opening become available.
